Digital Marketing From Social to Sale

A recap from my CHFA West Talk!

February was a whirlwind month! Right after speaking to a room of 100+ financial advisors, I jetted over to CHFA West to talk to 200 food and beverage businesses about social media selling. With over 900 exhibiting companies and a highly qualified selection of speakers, CHFA West continues to be the number one source for new products and education for retailers who are doing business in Western Canada.

A key question of the day was “HOW DOES SOCIAL MEDIA BENEFIT OUR INDUSTRY?”

  • Amplify brand message

  • Establish status as industry leader

  • Build trust with potential customers

  • Great way to showcase awards, accomplishments, new employees, promotions, new products, etc.

Survey Says

I polled the audience to uncover what the main struggles for businesses who wanted to more effectively use social media were. Here are the results:

MAKE A PLAN! DESIGN  A STRATEGY THAT:

  • Is actionable and measurable

  • Increases engagement & awareness

  • Is impactful, unique to your business and brand

Here are the 4 P’s for food and beverage brands that will take your online presence to the next level:

PRODUCT

Shine a light on your unique brand through the use of eye-catching visuals and amplify them on social media. Take a look at what Sonoma Creamery and Upton’s Naturals are showcase their products:

PLACE

Where can consumers find and purchase the product? Be specific. Whether it’s available exclusively in a certain region of the world or at local specialty grocers, don’t leave your audience wondering!

PRICE

“So...how much is it?” I’m sure that’s a question you’ll never hear the end of! Build trust with online communities by being honest about how much products cost and where, including promotions in-stores.

PROMOTION

Make sure every post reflects your brand story and authentic energy! Align with influencers, grocers and retailers on marketing campaigns, reshare each other’s content, and generate excitement for product launches to drive foot traffic to stores.

By increasing your brand exposure online, your product can more easily land in the baskets of loyal customers in-store.
